The time is drawing near for elections - more specifically, for voting on the Card Check Act.
I strongly encourage EVERYONE to educate themselves on what exactly the Card Check Act means and how it will affect them. This website paints it out very clearly, so please check it out.

I had never heard of the term lawsuit abuse until I saw this website. It's basically a smorgasbord of information that people should know in order to put an end to lawsuit abuse.
We all know those people who are sue-crazy. They'll sue at the drop of a hat, and what we don't realize is that it ends up costing all of us in some way. If you want to put a stop to the madness, check it out. There's even an interview with the couple who are involved in a pretty prominent lawsuit abuse case right now.

As you know, I'm a huge anti-card check act advocate. My concern is that people don't realize the potential horror that the card check act could mean for union workers. I encourage everyone to visit this website - it has a wealth of information about what the Card Check Act is, what it means for workers, a petition to sign to battle it and a video explaining it. Please check it out - http://www.friendsoftheuschamber.com/email/email4.cfm?i

To all who aren't aware, the Card Check Act, which is being voted on by legislation soon, is a terrible act. It basically bullies union workers into revealing their votes on union issues and topics. It forces people to cast their vote publicly on union authorization issues. It's imperative that it be shot down in congress. Please stop by this website and sign the petition. BONUS: you'll get a free bumper sticker. Free is always good! : )

This is, by far, the most solemn holiday season I can recall. We're staying home for the holidays, we had Thanksgiving at home, and we will gather with family by phone rather than in person - travel costs too much.
This website actually has a poll to see how the average household's holidays are being affected due to the downturn of the economy. Check it out and cast your ballot. The results can hopefully be used to urge Obama to make the economy his top priority once he takes office in January.

Oh, but the bottom line? The holidays are not about how much you buy and how much you spend. They are always about the real reason for the season. Now, what happens after? That's what we need to sound off on. Once the wonder of Christmas has worn off, it's beack to reality. Let's start making headway now!
